It took me some layaway time & a couple of @eleanorleftwichcloset sales but this epic @alexandermcqueen from @shrimptoncouture is finally in its final resting place: my closet! I couldn’t love it more! 🖤

Nobody does a velvet suit quite like Tom Ford in his Gucci days! Bringing me back to my first “splurge” spending my babysitting money in 7th grade on a Gap velour navy pantsuit – though this is quite the upgrade!

Rainy Monday after a crap shoot of a week last week has me falling back on my winter uniform to get out the door to play catch up all day!

This week I am wearing a Christian Lacroix for Jean Patou haute couture black silk satin cocktail dress from the Autumn/Winter 1985 collection. It features a ruffled, high-necked, embellished collar & embellished waist. The black silk is gathered around the hips, forming a bustle & train to the rear & leaving the dress completely backless. I love that this dress is a little sexier than my norm yet still classy. Plus, it requires minimal accessories as the dress is a masterpiece on its own!

This Pierre Balmain ensemble is dated to 1968 & features a sleeveless dress constructed from navy blue silk gazaar with ostrich feather hem & a matching coat with feather cuffs. Both pieces are labeled & have their own bolduc numbers beneath the labels. Bolduc numbers can be traced by the design house to produce the notes of the client who originally ordered the piece, with their measurements & details of the item. It’s very own couture log!

Throughout the month of February we will be taking part in #FASHIONFRIDAY . Classified Vintage and I will showcase some of the amazing vintage pieces that I have sourced from The Classified. There is no better way to kickstart #FASHIONFRIDAY than with one of my earliest and arguably most sought after pieces – a 1962 Chanel haute couture coat pictured on none other than Jackie Kennedy.

Needed an outfit that could take me from meetings at the farm to downtown … and be warm enough for 8 degrees. 🥶

Finally an opportunity to wear this epic @chanelofficial that I purchased from @shopdoramaar to dinner last night! I waited & waited for it to be within my budget & it was worth the wait! Almost my entire outfit is via resale. ♥️ Swipe for close up details.
